Washburn University Chemistry Club

Our annual Chemistry Club bowling party/fundraiser will be Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 7PM to 9PM. Tickets cost $10 and include shoe rental and two hours of cyber bowling at Gage Bowl. Find a ChemClub officer to buy a ticket. This is an open event, so invite everyone! Friends, family, you name it… come and enjoy some bowling and fun before finals.

Last Thursday at the Chemistry Club meeting we were all privileged to sit in on a presentation given by Dr. Kevin Ausman from Oklahoma State University. He enlightened us about his research on “Fullerene Derivatization: From Photophysics to Toxicology.” We are very grateful to him for driving all the way from Oklahoma to talk to our club. Chem Club would also like to thank Dr. Leung for sharing his research with us earlier this month. We have been really lucky to have some great speakers this year.
