Family day was a success this year for the ChemClub. We actually ran out of supplies to make ice cream; so I think people really enjoyed us being there and making the ice cream.
The meeting began with an announcement from treasurer Nick Hill that Chem Club would like all members to pay dues. The amounts for dues are: $6 per semester, or $10 for the whole year.
Chem Club has registered for the Homecoming top hat decorating contest. David Reed is in charge of heading up the homecoming activities. Other activities include the float parade, and “yell like hell”.
Family Day is Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 – 11:15 am. Chem Club will be hosting our own event: home made ice cream. Helpers will be needed at our Club table. Continue reading →

Officers were reminded to register with ACS for the 2008 year. Dues were set at $6.00 per semester or $10.00 for the year. Meeting times for the semester were discussed: one meeting a month will be held on Thursday with a second meeting each month at a variable time. Times which will work with scheduling include Friday 1:00 – 2:00 pm and Tuesday 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Meetings are being planned in collusion with all of the science department clubs.The first regular meeting will be held Tuesday, August 26 at 12:00 noon.
A majors fair will be held August 27 with booths open from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Chemistry department will be sharing a booth with Pre- Pharmacy and Pre-Medical. Continue reading →
